curious

They were all sitting down  but got up when I leaned my bike against the gate and came over to say hello. A public footpath runs through their field but I'm not sure I would want to walk through there. It's not that they would mean any harm, but might cause damage just by being boisterous. On Berneray I had to cross a field of cows with young calves on the way back from the beach to our van. I had Jess on a lead and the cows were on the defensive. Jess was not happy. I remembered the advice to let go of your dog's lead if a cow attacks it, but thankfully it never came to that. I walked quickly and gave them a wide berth...
