Had to admire this brass band playing as they travelled on their float for the Newport Pagnell Carnival.
Caught the bus to watch as parking is a nightmare and had time to have a toasted sandwich and cup of tea and interesting chat with a complete stranger in a cafe while waiting for the parade.
Met up with some friends and attended a fabulous post carnival party at the house of a long time friend .  She hosts it every year as her house backs onto the field where the parade ends.  
Thoughtfully a big screen had been installed amongst the sideshows and demonstrations so that football fans would not miss the England victory.
I was kindly given a lift home after a great evening.
