Scooting?

Or is it scootering?

The air in the High Street was almost unbreathable. The fumes from hundreds of two stroke engines combined with the 25 degree heat gassed the local population.

But what fun! Mass scooter rally in Linlithgow. Camping, grub, music, beer, sunshine and scooters. They had intended an en-mass traverse of the new Forth Bridge - but this was abandoned when it was discovered a large quantity of the scooter pilots drove on provisional licences (which meant that they had to use the old bridge, the ones with full licenses could only use the new bridge). So a trip to South Queensferry was duly arranged, to the Biker's Cove Cafe, and there the good denizens were also duly gassed with fumes, along with hundreds of tourists consuming surprisingly sooty ice creams.
