Patchwork

Went for a lovely run today. I've run lots this week, fast, and really good fun. The weather had been great and the park beautiful.

In the afternoon I did the top of Al's quilt. I'm very pleased with it. I'm not sure how easy joining the two sides together will be but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it!

Betsy had a good day at school today. Her speech got picked to represent her class in the speech competition. She also came 5th in her year in cross country so thinks she might make the team, and her art teacher told her that he is looking forward to meeting us at parents evening to tell us how well she is doing. I remember my friend Wendy telling me when her daughter Daisy joined secondary school, she spent the first two months in shock at the difference in teaching styles, then suddenly 'got' it, and has just loved every moment ever since. I have seem Betsy in something almost like shock so who knows what might be next!

We are certainly firmly back in term time with clubs, play dates (god I hate that expression I don't know why I used it!) and two children who are wiped out by Friday evening.
