Gobble,gobble

Five litle turkeys standing by the door,
One waddled off, and then there were 4
Four little turkeys under a tree,
One waddled off, and then there were 3
Three little turkeys with nothing to do
One waddled off, and then there were 2
Two little turkeys in the noon day sun,
One waddled off and then there was 1
One little turkey , better run away,
For soon will come Christmas day!

(I know there are only 4 turkeys in the photo, and the rhyme said "Thanksgiving"
not Christmas. )

This afternoon I ordered our Christmas turkey from a local farm.
It may be one of these!
They have 40 altogether. Did have more, but a two legged predator took about 15! (they couldn't find any trace of them, and the rest were left unharmed in the hut, so it wasn't a fox)
Free range,bronze,and from farm to plate ,less than a mile! You can't beat that!
