RURAL ABSTRACT
My starting point for this abstract was a painting made by Gabriele Muenter (1877-1962), that is at the front of my calender of her paintings from 2010. It shows her home in Murnau in summertime. See extra photo.
Gabriele Muenter expressionist painter, belonging to the avant-garde in Munich at the beginning of the 20th century, studied with Kandinsky, and lived with him for several years in the lovely town of Murnau.
I made a quick chalk painting, inspired by this painting, see it in the extras too.
From this painting I made an abstract by photographing it.
Huge thanks to Ingeborg for hosting this marvellous challenge.
A warm day again, but luckily it did rain for a short time an hour ago.
