Baby Robin Waiting

I had walking duty this morning. I spotted this little one when we left and it was still there when we returned. Got my camera, took some pictures with the hopes of mom or dad coming to coax it to move.

I left, knowing that nature would take care of itself. Sure enough, when I checked after a bit, there was no sign. I did see a small mourning dove laying in the lawn. Our yard might be the resting ground for fledglings.

The fireworks are starting. Happy 4th to all that celebrate!

I am grateful that Bunker is not bothered by the noise. Our previous dog was a nervous wreck for days.
