Camp Day 7
The “official 2018 camp portrait”. The last day… a bit windy but the boys took the inflatable out for a leisurely sit in the bay with cardgames and snacks. Fiona was happy on the beach building crab houses. But they came back so we could carry the newly made faerie chair up the hill…it’s a fair ways and it’s uphill and it wasn’t light but the guys managed (don’t think H and I could have done it ourselves so we’re grateful) and we decided to do the camp portrait there. So here we are on the 4th of July...we had flags we forgot to hold them...hummmm..... Grateful for the help of the girls’ parents this year for 5 days…I don’t know how we managed before…) It’s getting harder to plan with everyone’s other activities…NIk managed a week without basketball…And now they are all on their way back to Seattle. BUT now it’s time for Maple Camp!! Yep… Maple Sugar got left with us for the next 3 weeks while her family goes to see their other family on the East coast for 2 weeks …it was easier to just leave her here the extra week in between. There will be NO more pancakes and we WILL get our naps. We are exhausted and in desperate need of QUIET but I think it’s all worthwhile for the special times we and the cousins have with each other. They all go to different schools and don’t spend that much time together … each “camp” is very different as they get older and it’s important for Fiona to experience what the other three had for years. Maybe I’ll still get her to love boats…… (HA, dream on, Nanna)
I will blip the chair alone when we get it situated better so you can see it., and will put together a camp flickr set later…. It’s time to just do NOTHING now. :-) and go to bed early.not missing the crowded noisy crazy fireworks display by our condo in Seattle!
