Surprise Visitor

Imagine my surprise when I found this handsome fellow standing on my back porch.  He was a little skittish but stood still for photos and then ambled off.  

Mary Jo and I spent a happy couple of hours photographing a wealth of wildlife and we barely had to get out of our lawn chairs.  We saw an eagle, a beaver, the usual crows and geese, a kingfisher, a rabbit, several damselflies, the resident osprey and one heron.  It was a pretty interesting couple of hours, I must say.  It was a beautiful day too, quite cool here, barely 65 today, but it was lovely.  I truly feel for the folks enduring 90+ degree weather in other parts of the country.  Too bad it doesn't even out a bit more.   

Miss Huffy Puffy was apparently recovering from her intense day yesterday and chose to sit in the doorway observing.  I put her picture and one of the kingfisher in Extras.
