Rishton Parish Church sunset and Calendula flowers

I wanted to share with you blip friends the lovely evening sunset that I could see from my garden.
Since then, I have added the Calendular flowers that are growing at The Esplanade in Rishton. The flowers are edible as are the leaves. It is best to wash them thoroughly, as they attract white flies.
They are ideal resilient plants that thrive in this sunny, hot weather.
I have collected several seedheads to dry on a sunny windowsill, as they germinate easily and look great in a wildflower mix or in small flowerpots.
Praying all the fires are put out on the moors and the firefighters are safe as they do such challenging work.
Also, praying for the boys and their coach in the cave.
They are so courageous and I really believe positive thoughts and prayers can help to sustain them.
