Rehearsal Break

I hope this photo conveys some of the ambience and live acoustic of this church, Christ Church St Laurence, near Central Station in Sydney. We'd been rehearsing a particularly demanding, but fabulous, program in rather hot & muggy weather. The noise of the rain had meant the doors were kept closed during rehearsal, but now they were open and all were much relieved by the fresh air breezing through.

My role as sheet music librarian and general dogsbody and go-fer meant that this was a hand held snapshot in dim light rather than a carefully considered exposure with tripod etc. A bit of in-computer editing to bring out the roof timbers, and here it is.
