Another weekend gone up in smoke

Why is it always the weekend days that go so quickly? Was supposed to be carbooting but the weather is roasting, and it's probably not the best idea to eat curry the night before. Rain check. With no rain. Oh well.
I did get up to go and took the dogs out at 7. Just as well because it was scorchio all day. Got some decorating done, dinner at mums and a brisk walk at sunset with the pooches. Would have been perfect but for the midgies. Out in force tonight, little blighters. Give me a humble bumble any day!!
