Horses on the beach

I had to go to Fakenham today to pick some bits up from B&Q for the bathroom refit, so G and I decided to drive on a bit further to go for a walk on Holkham beach as it's such a nice day. This beach is vast and a bit wilder than Wells beach which is just up the road and with less people, although the car park was full today. At the moment it doesn't have a cafe or facilities, but there's a pub nearby so that's not an issue. The new visitor centre will be opening at the end of the summer. which will be a very welcome addition. 

I'd seen on the BBC News app that the Household Cavalry have arrived for their annual three week holiday and we were hoping to catch them riding on the beach today, but with no success although we did see six other horses out. Maybe we'll try again late one afternoon. I was undecided between two photos so have added another one as an extra. Looks like the heatwave will carry on this week and even into the following week! Nice to have a brisk breeze today to cool us down.
