Painting the Royal Arcade
I spotted this artist painting the beautiful Royal Arcade in Norwich. If you want to see the other side of the canvas, see the photo in extras. The Royal Arcade was opened in 1899. It was designed by the architect George Skipper who also designed a number of other buildings in the area, including Jarrolds. Sir John Betjamin supposedly said that 'he was to Norwich what Gaudi was to Barcelona'. His original intention was to be a painter, and I think this is evident in the Art Nouveau influence of the arcade. If you're in Norwich, it's definitely worth a visit (and to Digby's the chocolate shop or Macarons & More!!!)
