Walking with Friends
Leading a post AGM walk for Friends of the Lake District today.
29 signed up in advance 9 turned up on the day!
As I'd expected there was neither time or the demographic to make the published objective, so instead we strolled through the meadows with me pointing out the managed and wild biodiversity efforts that have taken place in recent years. Eventually we made it as far as a very empty Sour Milk Ghyll.
Having had damselflies and dragonflies in recent weeks I thought I had a superb hat-trick blip with a gorgeous Banded Demoiselle - until he landed on my hand - the hand holding the camera, a magical moment but impossible to capture.
