Beauty is all around us.

Arthur and the bedding plants.

Arthur is a sensible, good natured cat. He enjoys long spells soaking in the sun rays on one of his favourite window sills, and then he goes and sits and sleeps on a comfortable armchair in a quiet cool spot.
He wakes up at about 4 or 5pm and goes through a fascinating routine of yawning, stretching and doing a very thorough cat's wash, to revitalise himself, ready for a short evening out, watching the birds and the neighbouring cats. His life is full of love and he returns that to us a hundredfold.
The bedding plants are waiting to go into a community planter, but it has been so dry and a few of our group are away, so I have been looking after them and spraying them with cool water as needed. The pink petunias are struggling in the dry heat.
It has been 26c most of the afternoon.
We have been out to Read Garden Centre, Oswaldtwistle Mills and Matalan
Paul needs a straw hat with a decent brim, but apart from EWM in the Mill retail shop, no luck so far.
The quest continues after the Grand Prix, unless I find a good afternoon film to watch.
Food For Thought.
By Ralph Waldo Emerson:
"To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying
to make you something else, is the greatest accomplishment."
