Day 8.

It's tough leaving when you've had such a fantastic time in a fantastic location with fantastic company but today was check out day and, with everything packed, we left around 9.30am and visited Pitlochry for a few last minute purchases.

The journey back south passed close to Falkirk and RF suggested visiting 'The Kelpies' a sculpture I was completely unaware of. What a fantastic thing of beauty they are. 2 horse heads around 30 metres tall made of stainless steel punctuated by light shining through.

It's true, I fell in love with them.

Our destination today was Morecambe Bay for a one night stay on the journey home, neither of us had been before and the thought of walking along the promenade as the sun went down was somewhat obstructed by building works and resurfacing.

Having been staying in stunning scenery a rather run down coastal resort came a definite second and I don't think we'll be back!
