Kindness

Hot to be at work today and it felt a strange day with a couple of senior colleagues leaving the organisation and another close colleague going on to maternity leave.  So, it was a day of farewells and good wishes.  I thought it rather refreshing to hear one of our senior colleagues who is departing using the last words of his leaving speech to remind us all to be kind to one another.  I have been thinking myself recently about how much the working environment can lack kindness.

I returned home, had a quick bite to eat, watered the plants in the garden and then the vegetables at the allotment.  Then it was a drive down to Westbourne to meet Andy, and a walk with Merlin the cool evening air.  I feel pretty shattered!
