Fading

Drowsy squint-eyed
Sallie fades
ever into sleep

Cat thoughts drift
and wander dreamy
as leaves across the day

Another bout of napping
then more chickens
for her feast.

It's all so very boring
to stay awake while posing
for so, so long today.

For the Record,
This day came in dark and wild and stormy. Rain slatting on windshield and windows, some places close had snow.

Last night's lobster election celebration was grand, but I still feel tired today. Too many late nights up nailbiting!
