Ruby Tuesday

Colors are the smiles of nature.
-Leigh Hunt

Ruby against her color, quite a glowing sight. She's surrounded blazing Bittersweet, Burning Bush and her beloved peanuts.

I'm still in Joan Baez world, she and Kristofferson were on the David Letterman Latenight Show. She looked fabulous, sang her 70 year old heart out, and well, you just have to smile at Kris Kristofferson, enjoying himself with the legend, smiling his way through his own song. It's more polished than the version we saw on Sunday evening at Symphony Hall, but he is obviously doing it as more of a lucky lark than the honed perfectionist, Baez. Sure, she can't hit the high notes, but I think she still sings like an angel.

Some thoughts today please for my nephew, ~gj, my sister-in-law's dad, and his maternal grandfather died early this morning after a tough illness and downhill slide. G will be far away from his family tending to his Master's Degree studies in the UK. He could use a lift from blippers who know him. I have just come back from seeing his mother & dad (my only brother). They live on a piece of our old family land through the woods. Everyone is at peace, no more pain or turmoil for Grandpa Eddie. It's a gorgeous fall day and they are preparing the celebration of his life. Peace be with them all.

For the Record,
This day came in sunny, a glorious Indian Summer day.
