Red Hot ....

.... temperatures as well as Pokers:-)  This is for blipfriend Freuchie who hadn't seen many in Scotland, but I have a few in the garden (see Extra). The day started off dull and cool, but as soon as the cloud burned off it was scorchio!  

TJ and I spent the morning thinning out our overcrowded wardrobes and getting rid of half the clothes in them, either to the charity shops or for scrap.  They look much more manageable now and I doubt we'll miss any of the things that have gone.  Must try the tip of getting rid of one item when you buy another:-)

Having a BBQ tonight on the patio although it still seems rather hot out there, so the parasol may have to go up.  Can't believe thus heatwave is lasting so long, but it can and does have dire consequences such as moorland and forest fires.  Must be terrifying for those affected.
