Sparrow Invasion

It's been the coldest and wettest day so far this summer, but it doesn't deter the hundreds  dozens of sparrows nesting in our hedge.  The feeders have been filled twice today and they've emptied them again, so they are not getting any more:-)

Masses of sand martins flying around in the park earlier, so lots of insects have obviously just hatched out there.  Lovely to see their acrobatic flights, but impossible to get a decent shot.

Hoping for dryer weather tomorrow, as we have a rather unusual outing planned:-)
