Plume of smoke

The line of dirty white clouds just above the horizon in these photographs is the plume of smoke from the massive moorland fires raging just 10 or so miles from here. I resisted the temptation to try to get closer for a more dramatic shot as there have been reports that spectators are getting in the way of the fire and other services battling in intense heat to get this under control. What a daunting job that must be.
