View from Sydenham Hill SE23

I had a couple of appointments in Sydenham this morning, and was so struck by the view from the top of the hill that I abandoned my car and spent about 10 minutes trying to find the best spot from which to take pictures. Of course, no one spot allowed me the perfect image - too many trees, lamp posts and great big lorries. At one point I stood right in the middle of the road.... not a very good idea, but I survived to tell the tale.

It was such a beautiful sunny morning but I fear the rain clouds are moving in fast now.

I'm hoping to get through the remainder of my afternoon at work without too much hassle and then I can enjoy my long weekend. Hooray!
No doubt I've tempted fate.......
