Majestic Beeches

On one of my morning strolls I headed along the gated road towards Keepers Pool. The road is lined with century old beech trees. Most have shed the majority of their leaves now. There were a few folk out walking their dogs - a guy on his bike puffing up the hill.
Keepers pool has been around for over 600 years and was - for many years - a favoured pool by the locals for swimming. But, with the ravages of time the custom built pools were filled in and Keepers allowed to return back to its natural state.
