Well, somebody had to buy them and help the Cypriot economy. What are tourists for?! And today's hot sunshine provided the perfect climate for giving them a test run.

Been bucketing water into our empty pond today. Made a virtue of its being all dried out to step inside where I could reach to thin the waterlily leaves. Means the flowers should keep their heads out in the open instead of rotting under the leaves that hold them down. Shall continue adding water tomorrow.

Also been watering all my pot plants. Might have lost the poor shrivelled acer - time will tell - but most of the plants are already perking up after their drinks.
