Back home by midnight
Watched the moon rise and the sun set
from the hard shoulder of the M5.
Computers on wheels
can be awkward to drive.
We had a great four weeks away
but it's good to arrive
home.
At least it was warm and the sky was beautiful to watch. And we did enjoy some very pleasant interludes on our leisurely journey home - with friends in the morning - and family in the afternoon.
This is backblipped from yesterday. Today I have been mostly watering thirsty plants in pots, and trimming bushes - especially buddleias - that have gone berserk. Cut a way through to the birds' feeders, and our little feathered friends are slowly returning, led by one of the robins. Now to refill the very dry pond, whose waterlilies are nevertheless flowering.
