The birds and the bugs

An early cycle ride to visit my parents again today.

On my way there I thought that the bugs from yesterday had dispersed. It was a false belief though and in hindsight I think it just hadn’t warmed up enough for them at that point.

As I cycled back along the river it was quickly apparent that there were just as many today as there had been yesterday. Mouth closed again.

I spotted a good selection of birds but with only my phone camera, this cormorant was the easiest to blip.

I’ve busied myself inside today, tidying away a few more reminders of Ripley.

I had a few ‘this time last week’. moments that brought a lump to my throat.

The untidy desk is now spotless. I doubt it will remain that way for long.
