Choo choo !!!!!!!!

I know you will all be bursting to know.........
yes, we won the quiz, again!!!!!

Sis rang to let me know her scan results, she has 4 different lower lumber "issues" that look like they are the culprit and cause of her muscle disfunction. So more treatment and an appointment with a neurologist to come :-/

After a good nights sleep, hub and I put our plans into action......a day out in the pretty village of Haworth, across the Border in good ol Yorkshire. We had a nice easy drive over, the sat nat took us via the somewhat narrow road, over Scar Top, but we made it ;-)

Parked up at the Bronte Parsonage, walked down the main high street, then back up again, phew! Stopped for lunch at Emma's Cafe, initially we thought we had made a poor choice, but actually the coffee and steak pie with mushy peas was very nice!

Afterwards, we walked around the other way, past the hall, down the main road, into the park, out the other side, up the cobbled lane, over the bridge to the railway station.

We were stood on the footbridge, as I was bemoaning the fact, or so I thought, that there were no steamtrains running today, when low and behold, we heard the distinct, chugatty chug, and then the familiar whistle, of an approaching train. I was like a child in a sweetshop, almost jumping up and down, clapping my hands :-D

Todays blip is said train in the station, with the Station Master ( I think) signalling for them to pull away.....probably not the right terminology, but you know what I mean;-)

Ive added three extras too, one of the high street from the top, some rather lovely looking shops and a row of little cottages, just along from the Bronte Museum, with one of the residents tending her garden, in a rather splendid hat :-) to show you what a lovely day we've had.

Mid afternoon we called into the Apothecary Tearooms and had a lovely coffee and fruit scone, before toddling off to look inside the Church, the museum and then walked up past the lovely little cottages.

We called it a day about 4......an easy drive back, even though it was Friday rushhour!!!

Lots of watering back at the ranch, before sitting on the deck with a glass of rose wine! Later, we headed indoors to watch The Bridge, with a platter of cheese, parma ham, olives, cornichons, tomatoes and a few crackers for a late supper.

An all round lovely day.
