Day 173/18. The Bridge of Britannia.

The Bridge of the Royal Yacht Britannia. 
The Royal Yacht Britannia, is the former royal yacht of the British monarch, Queen Elizabeth II, in service from 1954 until 1997. She had a crew of 21 offciers and 250 yachtsmen. Fully restored and sitting in Leith Harbour (Edinburgh) it is now an impressive heritage tourist attaction.
What surprised us was the small beds. Presumably a personal choice both the Queen and Prince Philip slept on this impressive sized yacht in just 3' single beds. See the extra images today for these beds and bedrooms. A strange choice....., you are the Queen, why not choose a big bed?
