Filey

Family day at Filey with the lovely R, mum, brother and aunt and uncle (over from Oz). A much needed day at the beach. Fish and chips, ice cream and even a paddle in the sea!

Tomorrow the hardest day... my treasured Nans funeral. We looked after her 24 hours a day for almost a year until the last 6 weeks of her life in which she was in hospital and then a nursing home. All while completing the last year of a degree and commuting a 266 mile round trip between home in the midlands and Nans in Yorkshire. I’d do it all again, it’s been an honour and a pleasure.

Next week is going to be strange. My degree is now finished, I’m nervously waiting for the results and with caring for Nan no longer, a lot more time on my hands. It’s going to be quite a change and transition.
