Mid Summer Sammy

Winter returned today!  It's been really cold, and gales from the Arctic.  Heavy showers from time to time too.  Dry this evening, and even some sunshine but still bitter.  Please come back summer!! 

A day working on the museum desk.  It's been a busy day of visitors, most looking for shelter and something to do.  Most of the bikers arrived today, and very much typical rally weather.  Hope they enjoy the weekend, and sure the weather won't matter too much.  Walkies with Sammy this evening, and now my feet up with the telly. 

I took a chance of a hike in the hills, and it stayed dry.  As I climbed high, I suffered brain freeze, no toorie kep on my head, so didn't get to my destination, and turned back.  Plenty of wildlife on my way back, bonxies, whaps, rabbits, mountain hares, two dead baby hares and a grouse with her 10 chicks flew out of nowhere.  Even with the dull day, the view and peace was perfect.  Taken up Tongue Field, Cunningsburgh.
