Sammy an Fletcher

A windy day, and a showery day.  In between showers, there was some fine sunny spells.  A better evening.

There's been four cruise ships in Lerwick today, so it's been a fairly busy day in the museum.  I was expecting a busier day than we had, but most must have gone out on coach trips.  Met up with mam for lunch.  After tea, I headed north, and went out for a run in the boat with Marvin.  We had planned to get to Linga and Papa Little, but had to turn back early.  Feet up now.

Sammy and Fletcher were having a great time out at sea, but disaster struck.  The boat was clear of all doggy dangers, but when we slipped the anchor, there must have been a unknown hook in the ropes.  Poor Sammy gave a yelp, and it lodged in his back left foot.  Called the out of hours vet in Bixter, and he soon got it out.  Sammy was a brave boy, and didn't complain much of the pain.  Coming in on the boat, Fletcher knew Sammy was in pain, and kept his eyes on him at all times, along with a reassuring sniff and nudge.  Back home, and he's tired after his ordeal, sleeping by the fire.  This was taken moments before, just off Linga, Olnafirth.
