M persuaded us to hold a house warming this evening because he and R were both home and could act as waiters while we chat to the neighbours. We now live on what used to be a farm but all the buildings have been turned houses, about 10 altogether, a good number for a party. The nearby farm shop complex includes a bakery that sells the most delicious ciabatta rolls. Chatting up the baker to find where else I could buy his products he said - Manchester. They have a shop in Manchester and a market stall in Preston. Apparently the market in the Lakes is too seasonal and the local Lakes farm shops want too much of a discount to make it worth their while. In Manchester they sell more in the winter and less in the summer. In the Lakes they sell more in the summer and less in winter.  Pleased to be a local and happy to buy all year. The bread is delicious.
