Football Frenzy
Dear O'H dear and Lovely Tea Jenny,
I went to see Physio Paul today. I was in the waiting area when a very chatty Irishman turned and asked ‘so how did you hurt yourself?’. This entertained me as it is fairly unusual to be asked in a medical environment why you ended up there. Despite my temptation to make something up ‘oh, I fell off my sex swing’, I played nicely and started chatting to him.
He was telling me that he is moving from Edinburgh. When I asked where he was going, he said ‘The Isle of Harris…or Dunbar’.
Turns out that he has put in an offer for a campsite on Harris but if that doesn’t work out, he and his wife are going to keep their jobs and buy a house in Dunbar!
I am assuming that he likes the sea. He informed me that he got his injury jumping off rocks into water in Donegal. Unfortunately for him, there were more rocks under the water!
It felt like a very random conversation but it was probably the most enjoyable part of my Physio experience!
The Mini Princesses were both out tonight so The Prince and I headed to The Old Bell for a bite to eat, a couple of cheeky pints and to watch Portugal v Spain. Yes, me! Can you believe it? It was actually good fun. I think the Prince was very confused. Normally, I glare at the tv if football is on. I like to keep him on his toes!
