Sunset On The Bay
What is it about bikes? They seem to be magnets for photographers. Prop one up against a thatch-roofed cottage in the Cotswolds, or along the Seine in Paris and every photographer within range will aim at it. I love them, especially when there's a dog, a bunch of flowers, or a loaf of bread in the basket. Just about two minutes before I took this picture a young man rode up and propped his bike against the tree and went off with his camera. I had a beautiful shot of the water, sans tree and bike, but in the end I liked this because I haven't come up with a good answer as to why people, me included, like bikes in pictures. Who knows.
