the reward for waiting - a treat - a nibble - a morsel of yummy...

all mine - and i'm not sharing it...

those were all very clear messages this raven - i think it's a raven... or black bird - or crow... was giving off today - - there was a whole gaggle of them in the park... flocking around a lady who was trying to take pictures of a squirrel suspended in tree branches - out of her reach... and she was attempting to lure it with peanuts - one hand would go up to give a peanut, the other hand would then try to balance the camera - along with a huge bag of other stuff she was carrying with her - to snap the shot... she wasn't being very successful - i was keeping my distance because she kept giving me the evil eye - and i hadn't even done anything... i was going to offer to help her in some way - but the evil eye warned me off, ya know? i said a small prayer that she'd get a good shot - things would go her way with it all - that the birds wouldn't suddenly begin to attack her - somehow i had visions of that movie the birds... there would be no one to rescue us - it would be ugly...

alas... it didn't turn out that way - boo! she sauntered off with all her misc paraphernalia - determined to capture this one errant squirrel... i was left with the birds - which suited me fine - gave me plenty of wonderful opportunities - making for...
