The dropped stitch

Tirrick

Very pleasant slow-paced Sunday with the family.

Bright and sunny with a warm breeze, so we spent the day outside mostly. With the 3 grandchildren I started to make a little 'garden' area in their not yet landscaped new garden. We just gathered together the pots of things already planted and painted stones to set amongst them.

I would have been happy doing more, but after a while the boys were off with sticks to whack thistles. It's a favourite pastime at the moment, and there are plenty to be attacked around the edge of the house site.

We went for a walk to the nearest beach but had to turn back because of dive bombing Tirricks (Arctic Terns). They must have nests on the foreshore.

The blip shows what a beautiful day it was and the dot of a bird is one of the Terns.
