Acrobat

Today we were both at a Strategy Weekend hosted by Tim's employer.  This was an all expenses paid event at a hotel in Northumberland where we were treated to activities and entertainment.

During the day there was an enormous teepee with singers, magicians and children's art.  There were open fires at each end where you could toast your own marshmallows.  There was a bird of prey display, archery, pedaloes on the lake and even some survival skills training.  We didn't venture down to the event field (fearing a downpour which did come eventually!) but there we lots of things down there for the petrol heads amongst us.

In the evening we had a barbecue and acrobats who finished up using fire as one of their props.  The night was rounded off with a live band and a firework display.

It was a good day, with opportunities to meet more of my new colleages, and get to know some a little more.
