a tale of two journeys

awake early doors, and not sure if i dreamt that i met Boris Becker yesterday or not!!

there'd been a right frost last night, and i set off like bambi on ice at 7.20am to walk to langley mill station to catch the 8.06 into town. had left my car at work, so it was either bus, or a good healthy 2 mile walk and train into Nottingham. train chosen. into nottingham in 15 minutes! blimey......

a good morning, and wandered out at lunch to meet Triv to pick up charity post. a nice coffee with her, then back to the office, in the rain.

hometime, and set off. traffic was good as far as Bobbers bloody Mill, then the red lights appeared!! didn't get above 10 mph until after the Three Ponds! what a waste of time. took an hour to drive 8 miles.....

have to say, out of the two journeys, my preference was the 2 mile walk and 15 minute train ride! would do that every day if it wasn't £6 for the privilage! will at least make the effort to do once a week!
