A Day at the Ballpark

My S-I-L Doug had his company's baseball season tickets today, so we got to go see our Detroit Tigers. They are really nice seats. (Think padded seats, mucho leg room, and a "coffee table" between the seats.)

It was Merrick's first baseball game. He was real good for about 3 innings, paying attention to the game and asking pertinent baseball questions. But, there weren't many runs being scored...and his attention wandered. Still...he was very good right 'til the end of the game...which we ended up winning 3-1. One of our guys hit a 2-run homer in the bottom of the 7th.

A fun day, and a day I was happy to be a part of. The statue behind my daughter on the left is our legendary announcer Ernie Harwell, and in the picture on the right is our mascot Paws.
