gourds
Ithaca and I drove to the rather posh farm shop close to the office at lunch time. They had baskets of gourds/squashes, and we photographed them. Then it was time to go back to work.
I'd had a rather lengthy meeting this morning, but it finished with someone from a renewable energy co-op coming in, with some great ideas. It's refreshing to listen to someone with so much enthusiasm.
Had to go to the Council meeting this evening and sneaked out in just enough time to get home for recorder group - but I hadn't bargained for the traffic being diverted for the bonfire night celebrations. Still, the others were pretty late so it didn't matter.
We've had a lovely evening working our way through more of the Abracadabra recorder book. After they'd gone, I felt a bit sad, because I remembered my mum singing things like "where have all the flowers gone" and " the leaving of Liverpool" - an attack of nostalgia which took me unawares.
