More Leaves

I did a spot of wood turning this morning and started work on the bit of wood for No1 son.

The Cygnet was looking nice and toastie in his hat and new snood this afternoon.
Although he was rather slow on the walk as he tried to sweep up the fallen leaves with a stick!
It could take him a while.

We had to contact the Cooncil after the walk because all we heard was "What's In There?" as the Cygnet reached through a rusty hole in a lamp standard.
We don't think he grabbed the wires that we could see when we shouted at him - but it could have been very nasty.
They got a phone call and an e-mail (to be sure)....... and bags got a call back to confirm exactly where it was (do they not have a list of the refrence numbers on the lamps to tell them exactly where it is?).

I was trying to get arty with some of my leaf shots - but I am not sure if they worked.
I liked the colours of these ones but think the background may be too light and distracting.

I found out one of my pictures is in The Press & Journal newspaper today.
I didn't get a mention though as the article is about my friend who won the competition with her picture of Eilean Donan Castle. She took the picture (a fabulous sunset behind the castle) on her hen night before getting married in there. My picture is of her and her husband being piped over the bridge after the ceremony.
