Wintours Leap

Had a brill day out today in the baking sun at Wintours Leap, back on the trad. Despite having a wedding yesterday and getting home late, I managed an early start and got a few 30 metre routes in. I lead my first HVS 5a which was a bit of a surprise! My partner had just lead it, and as I came up on second I had such an enjoyable climb that I had to go back and lead it. Super nice moves and really fluid, the lead went fine having already climbed it, and nice to have some more practice at placing gear and setting up a belay.

Edging closer to my 218 routes in 2018 goal, 89 so far. I'll have to get back on the sport next week to try and up the numbers as I'm lagging a bit with all this trad!
