Early shower

Slept ok.......woke up to grey skies and a slightly cooller feel than of late. Still wRm enough for shorts and tee shirt though :-)

We took a quick walk for a newspaper and some milk. Walked back the longer route, making sure we were back before 11, in time for youngest and DiL calling.

We sat out on the deck reading the papers, when there was a knock on the patio doors from inside, could have been burglars, but it wasn't ;-) They brought my birthday present as it hadnt arrived in time for the day.....a bottle of Pink grapefruit gin :-D (which hub is in the process of opening in the kitchen as I type this!)

We had a nice catch up for an hour or so, but they couldnt stay for lunch as they have a lot on this weekend.

We've had a rather lazy afternoon, after lunch in the garden again, just pottering, deadheading, watering.......and latterly sitti g in the sun, which broken through around 4pm :-)
I sat on the deck with my camera poised waiting for one of the blackbirds to come down to the pond, which they have been doing a lot lately, as its been so dry. Caught this youngster wonderig whether to dive in our not!

Prawn linguine for dinner this evening to use up the last of the fresh pasta, delish, and a glass of yellowtail merlot to wash it down :-)

Just watched Trooping of the Colour, makes you proud to be British :-)

First taste of my grapefruit gin, with a pink grapefruit slice in it.......divine!!!!!!!!
