Moulin Rouge

Slept pretty well, after a slightly disappointing quiz last night, we threw away 8 points, which would have had us second .....hey ho, you cant win every week ;-)

Hub and I decided it was time to take a trip to Sainsburys, cant remember the last time we shopped at a mainstream Supermarket!!! We needed some mundane store cupboard items!
Needless to say we came back with far more than planned, including wine and spirits, new bins for the bathrooms, a top for me, rather a lot of fresh fish.......heavy bags and light pockets!!!

We had a sandwich for lunch in the garden, then spent a few hours pottering. deadheaded all the rhoddi's and irises, that took an age!
Hubs struggling with his hayfever and is actually hoping we get some rain soon :-/ He went indoors for some respite, ran the hoover around upstairs and down ;-)

Another flower blip, but fitting as its flower friday, thanks A, so here you have the bracks and flowers of one of our astrantias, this one is as per the title.

I made tomato, onion and chilli linguine to go with some fish, sea bass for me, plaice for hub.

The warm dry weather continues in the northwest......no rain for 2/3 weeks and looking at the long range forecast nothing on the horizon in the next 10 days!

Just like to say how chuffed I was to receive a fav for Wide Angle Wednesday this week, a nice finale for my birthday ;-)
