Emerging from the heat of the Andalusian foothills of Kirkby Lonsdale, I headed down to the Costa del Grange over Sands before making the trek north up into the shimmering late light of Kirkstone Pass and home again ... wondering if I had been transported to another country without realising...writing this in the garden cooling down at 10pm.
