Living On The Level

I had booked a tour for myself today.  I wanted to take the tour round Lord's cricket ground. I've been a huge cricket fan for years.  I was really, really looking forward to it.

Until I got to the ground.

And I saw all the open staircases.  Stairs with gaps.  Stairs with open iron railings.  All the things that I just can't cope with at the moment.

I wasn't going to poison another day with having to deal with not coping with this level of anxiety.  That sentence needs untangled as much as my anxiety does.

And so we went to the V & A museum instead.  We walked through Regent's Park - lovely rose garden in there.  Navigated a bit of London to get to Hyde Park.  Quick stop for a break in the Serpentine Cafe and then on to the V & A.

I like the V & A a lot.  Even if i couldn't manage to get off the ground floor.

As G said "You're now so afraid of being afraid, you can't do anything."  That is no way to live.
