They're Off

For the second time in almost as many days I stumbled upon event I knew nothing about. Today's swim race from the pier at Playa Las Gatas to the beach across the bay, Playa Principal, was just organizing as I paddle up on my SUP. I arrived in time to get my paddle board in the perfect spot to capture the mass start of about 75 swimmers shown here. I then paddled with them as they crossed Zihuatanejo Bay (about two kilometers) and got a few photos of the fastest swimmers finishing as well. Photos and exercise, what could be better!
