Race Across The Bay

It was, unfortunately, a dull grey day for the swim race from Playa Las Gatas to the pier. I dutifully took my kayak out to capture the activities but it was so dark many of the images were marred by camera shake (and subsequently deleted). This one shows swimmers at the back of the pack soon after the start. The pier is a long way off (I know as I just kayaked across the bay) and I can't imagine swimming that distance. There were about 40 swimmers in the water, most of them in front of this particular entrant.
